Watch: Becoming a Trauma-Responsive Community
At our best, community comes together to understand and support each other in times of trauma. But without an understanding of trauma, communities risk responding to challenges and pain with punishment, exclusion, or further harm instead of restoratively.
Watch a recording of “Building a Trauma- Responsive Community”, a presentation by Myrna McCallum, lawyer, educator and host of The Trauma-Informed Lawyer podcast as she explores the origins of trauma, its effect on our brains, bodies and behaviour, and what we can all do to be more trauma-responsive in our day-to-day lives.
This presentation was made possible by a Together for Justice grant from Community Foundations of Canada and The Law Foundation of Ontario.
